Episode 4 Secret
Watching Nick struggle with realizing and accepting who he truly is, is so very relatable. But watching Charlie sacrifice his own feelings for Nick is so eye-opening. It makes me think of what I have went through on my own journey. And what I put others through while I was hiding and denying myself.
We are at the half way point of Season 1. And what a ride it has been already.
Nick knows that he messed up by leaving Charlie sitting alone in that ballroom. He also knew that facing Charlie and explaining himself in person was the best way to handle everything. Very mature, Nick!
Listen! This woman irritates my very soul. You’ll see…
Nick is right. Charlie apologizes way too much.
Watching this scene, part of me wants to hug Nick and reassure him that what he is going through is normal. And part of me wants to jump out that window because Nicks emotions are way too relatable.
Sneaking around can be fun and exciting. For a short time. Soon enough it takes a toll on a person. Then you start feeling like you’re not good enough. It’s a Catch 22.
Enough said!!
I would really love to know who bullied Charlie the year before. Something tells me those kids did not get any kind of punishment for what they put this sweet soul through. And that is NOT okay.
I haven’t discussed Darcy and Tara much, yet. Don’t worry, I will. They become a big part of the show soon enough. Very important members of Charlie’s friend group.
It never ceases to amaze me just how much like Isaac I am.
Clearly, Tao has issues of his own. And I think they go beyond the death of his father. There is something else going on inside this kid.
Something tells me that it is a combination of both.
This kid overcame his fear of getting hurt, only to get hurt.
And this lot just stood there watching like it was a movie on a screen. Seriously, how hard would it have been to run over and check on your teammate! Do better boys!
I know none of these guys went running to check on Charlie, either. But I am going to guess because they knew they weren’t supposed to be on the field and didn’t want to get Charlie in trouble.
These two are definitely worried that Charlie is in over his head. And they definitely think Nick is not handling any of it well.
As sweet as this scene was, it was also heartbreaking. Charlie so worried about Nick and what others will think of him. Charlie, you’re the one that is hurt!
I just LOVE that Isaac grin! This guy is just the most adorable!
These are the kinds of guys that I stood up to in high school. Bullies for no good reason other than they can. It’s so gross.
Come back for the second half of season 1. It’s coming very soon.
