Episode 6 Iron Sisters

This episode is all about power.

We get a good look at the power of the Iron Sisters.

Jace and Clary discuss her new power.

Alaric lets his power go to his head.

Malec takes the next step into being the power couple they’re destined to be.

Aldertree continues to abuse his power.

Simon has the power of persuasion.

I love the Iron Sisters. They’re like a very cool cross between nuns and The League of Assassins (DC reference for those who know).

Jace is really not being paranoid, here. I don’t blame him for not wanting Clary to tell anyone about the Sun Rune she created.

“They’re badass warriors who created all of our weapons.”

I love the way that Izzy talks about the Iron Sisters. She absolutely glows.

I really hate how much the wolves dislike Simon. That kid has done nothing but be helpful and friendly. Just shows how ridiculous and narrow minded prejudice is.

Magnus - I’m not okay because you’re not okay. Alexander, you’ve been to hell and back. And you haven’t stopped for a second. Taken a moment for yourself.

Alec - Magnus, we’re in the middle of a war.

Magnus - There will always be a war, a mission, a problem to solve. Look, I speak from experience. If you fail to grant time for the things you care about, you’ll forget why you’re even fighting at all.

Alec - What do you have in mind?

Magnus is so sweet, pleading with Alec to take care of himself, to slow down, to make time for them. And Alec is powerless to tell him no.

Maia’s not so bad. You know, when she’s not being overly dramatic, hot headed, or trying to kill Jace before getting the whole story.

As much as I love the Iron Sisters, I really enjoy watching Clary tell them off.

Aldertree you fuck! Jace is your best warrior! You sidelining and embarrassing him is the stupidest thing you’ve done since the kill order. Jace, keep standing up to him!

This pool game is hilarious. Magnus and Alec are so damn cute when they’re being all competitive and flirty.

Alec - Can’t win ‘em all. … Wait! Did you do your… thing?

Magnus - Haven’t you heard the saying? If you can’t find the one being hustled in a pool hall, then it’s probably you. Okay.

Alec - Okay.

Magnus - Okay.

Alec - Yeah. Let’s play.

I am one of those rare people that loves the connection between Simon and Maia.

You have to respect Magnus being completely honest with Alec about his past partners. He could have easily lied. Alec would have had no way of knowing if he was. But Magnus chose honesty, despite knowing how it would make him look.

If you watch Magnus’ mouth, when he says 17 he starts to make the ‘th’ to say thousand and then stops. Before allowing Alec to actually guess that’s what he was going to say.

And the way Alec’s expression changes from relief when he thinks it’s only 17 and then 1700, to this look when he finds out it’s 17,000 is hilarious.

Cleophus telling Clary the story of the Mortal Sword is so powerful.

For some, it is terrifying to imagine the world being overrun with demons.

Don’t ever tell me Simon isn’t brave! The way he jumps in front of a grieving, wolfed out Luke is nothing short of heroic. Luke’s wolf pack can take their ridiculous hatred of my Sweet Simon and fuck themselves with it.

Alec - Look, I don’t care how many people you’ve been with.

Magnus - I don’t care how many people you haven’t been with.

Alec - I hear that relationships they, um, take effort.

Magnus - I’m all for effort.

I love this conversation between Alec and Magnus. The way they accept each other completely - faults, past loves, and all - is what dreams are made of. It’s absolutely beautiful. And Harry and Matt nail it!

“Sorry for killing the mood. You got a spare room?”

OMG! Jace! Worst! Timing! Ever!

But the look on Magnus and Alec’s faces is priceless.
